So Avengers is a pretty popular movie, what with all the explosions, heros, and smashing. It seems that illustrator Gingerhaze aka Noelle Stevenson is a fan because she has created an incredible series of Avengers illustrations.

Check out the awesome collage illustrations of Cristiana Couceiro. They have a very cool retro feel and her use of icons and bold shapes really compliments the photography. Her illustrations have a graphic simplicity and impact that can be lost in more complicated collage style. I’m a fan!
Mad Men Issue of Newsweek
For the launch of Mad Men Season 5, Newsweek has retro-fied this week’s issue with vintage ads. I think this is a very fun concept for the issue that shows off the charm and naivety of vintage ads. My favourites are Benetton, Mercedes, and Hush Puppies.

G’nosh looks great!
G’nosh makes Gourmet dips and their site definitely says handmade, old world and fresh. The use of large hand drawn type works beautifully with the dips and other objects to create a sense of looking at a chef’s table.
