Been awhile, been busy.
But this really fun site for Coca-Cola, Happiness Islands is enough to break me out of my slumber for awhile. This cool brand piece features a lot of fun sitelets (microsites) housed within the Internet Ocean. Totally worth playing around and wasting 10 or 15 min.
Gingerhaze’s AWESOME Avengers Illustrations
So Avengers is a pretty popular movie, what with all the explosions, heros, and smashing. It seems that illustrator Gingerhaze aka Noelle Stevenson is a fan because she has created an incredible series of Avengers illustrations.

Mr. Div has created a very impressive collection of animated GIFs on his blog. There’s tons of great stuff on here, the world needs more animated GIFs.

Check out the awesome collage illustrations of Cristiana Couceiro. They have a very cool retro feel and her use of icons and bold shapes really compliments the photography. Her illustrations have a graphic simplicity and impact that can be lost in more complicated collage style. I’m a fan!
Mad Men Issue of Newsweek
For the launch of Mad Men Season 5, Newsweek has retro-fied this week’s issue with vintage ads. I think this is a very fun concept for the issue that shows off the charm and naivety of vintage ads. My favourites are Benetton, Mercedes, and Hush Puppies.
